Dr. Poodle Returns

May 18, 2011

DineyA while back, I got a check up from then-four-year-old Poodle.  I am here to declare that the good doctor is still practicing medicine. Now, though, with nearly a year of first grade education under her belt, she's graduated beyond mere humans and now practices medicine on one of the most fearsome creatures to ever stalk the planet - her good friend, Diney.

Diney's problem today appeared to be four chicken tenders stuck in her throat.  Considering an adult T. Rex typically runs 40 feet in length and tips the scales at 7 tons, those tenders had to have been made from a pretty sizable chicken.

In fact, they were such a problem that our doctor determined that they would have to be surgically removed, but - fearful of the bite reflex, large teeth, and strong jaws of your standard North American Tyrannosaurus Rex - she decided to remove them by going in through the beast's rectum.

The next time we have chicken tenders, you can bet I'll chew very, very carefully.
