Please Don't Feed The Bears

There's a new movie out called Grizzly Man about this guy named Timothy Treadwell - a self proclaimed "bear expert" - who spent 13 summers in Alaska cavorting (yes, cavorting) with bears.  As can be expected, he got himself thoroughly mauled on his 13th and final summer.  If anyone ever asks you to define "moron", point them in the direction of this title at Blockbuster Video.  Some people may be offended by my apparent lack of compassion for Mr. Treadwell and his fate, but come on, people.  You have to be a couple cans short of a six pack to think you're going to play house with several dozen wild, carnivorous animals who weigh as much as a small car, and not get hurt.  Timothy should receive Darwin's Lifetime Achievement award.

What About My TPS Reports?

I've got a new job.  I've turned in my membership to the American Telecommuting Society, and now do the true, commute-to-work, occupy-a-cube nine-to-fiver.  There's a vague, Office Space-type feel to the whole thing, with much more paperwork and red tape than I'm used to, but it's been OK.  My co-workers seem fairly sane (so far), and I have yet to run into any true Lumberghian types.  I do have a Swingline stapler, but I can't see any merry squirrels from my cube.  I may need to go ahead and move my desk closer to the window.

Movie Review:  The 40 Year Old Virgin

The title alone gives you a pretty good idea what this is all about, and it is, indeed, a comedy.  The flick starts off a little slow, in my estimation, but by the middle third to the end, you better hope you didn't get the large Coke, or you'll be embarrassing yourself in a urinary way.  There's virtually no one you've ever heard of in this movie, unless you're a Ron Burgundy fan, but that's not a problem - these guys are funny.  It's pretty well written, the plot is good, and the acting is first rate.  Do yourself a favor - go see it.  Just remember to get the small Coke.

You've been working with us for 2 weeks and I haven't seen a single TPS report from you. Don't forget the cover sheet.
