Gallopin' Gertie

68 years ago today, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge failed in spectacular fashion. Affectionately known as Gallopin' Gertie for her bizarre oscillations, she came down only four months after opening to the public and took a small dog with her.

Yesterday, in a far less spectacular fashion, some dude over at freerepublic.com found out what happens when you hotlink one of my images.  Particularly, the Fonz jumping the shark image.  Yes, again. Sigh...
